About Me, a guy called Joe
I spent over 12 years in software development and product management, working in both large and small companies alike. As rewarding as it was to build new features or improve existing ones, I found myself wanting to make more of an impact which is hard to do when you’re working on a product that targets a niche audience.
Let’s face it, the majority of companies you work for will mainly be targeting a niche audience unless you’re working for a large organization like Google, Apple, or Amazon. The problem with this is that you’re just a cog in a much larger machine and have even smaller impact as an individual. That’s why I decided to go off on my own as a solopreneur and focus on building products that can reach those who are looking for a better way to live. Whether that’s through eating better, being more organized, obtaining more knowledge, or just simply being a better person. I’m just a guy called Joe, but I’m sharing my knowledge and experiences with you in hopes that it’ll help make your life a little bit better.
I started Bootstrapping Tools in 2021 with the goal of helping business folks learn to leverage no-code and low-code tools to build their own solutions without depending on expensive software developers. It was a part-time gig that I did on the side while working full-time. What I learned from the audience I built was that there are plenty of people out there who are looking for ways to leverage coding to optimize their work and even sometimes in their personal lives.
People want to take back their time, be more productive, and have more time to enjoy life. I believe it’s possible for everyone to do this as long as they have the right tools and knowledge. This is what I’m about, this is what I’m sharing out into the world, this is how I want to make a larger impact.
